Regional Dialogue on Frugal Innovation: Towards a New Innovation Paradigm in Latin America

 Towards a new innovation paradigm in Latin America November 2021

On 18-19 November 2021, the Latin American Network of Frugal Innovation held its annual event, aiming to raise awareness and knowledge, and to promote dialogue, about frugal innovation and its relevance for social entrepreneurship, women in STEM, circular economy, sustainability and the implementation of the SDGs in collaborative models that are based on trust to deliver and scale solutions and impact. The 2-day event was organized in 2 sessions that included 3 panels and 2 practical workshops, featuring the participation of remarkable international and regional experts.

This dialogue was addressed to individuals and organizations from different sectors and countries interested or involved in social and impact innovation for sustainable development and the SDGs.

World Entrepreneurs was honored to help organize the annual event of the Latin American Network on Frugal Innovation and to participate in the discussions with the intervention of L. Ivorra, our LatAm Focal Point and Expert on Circular Economy and Sustainability. His intervention during session 1 focused on the relevance of building sustainable collaborative models, based on trust, in the context of circular economy and frugal innovation for the advance of the SDGs, presenting a real case in Colombia. We also thank Mauricio Cárdenas and the LatAm Green Chamber of Commerce for having accepted our invitation to participate in session 3 on Women Entrepreneurship.
