Regional Dialogue Scaling Digital Health in Latin America (LatAm)

In May 2021, World Entrepreneurs was invited by the Health Innova Hub to participate in the virtual format of their regional dialogue on “Scaling Digital Health in LatAm”. The Health Innova Hub is a network of health innovators, entrepreneurs, experts and investors in the digital health realm in Brazil and LatAm that aims to boost and support long-term impact solutions for health. As part of their activities, they organize dialogues with a wide range of experts for the advance of digital health, seeking to generate synergies for further cooperation within the region and globally.

World Entrepreneurs was very pleased to share its vision on the role of international cooperation in advancing digital health, by addressing the following questions:

  • Why international cooperation is relevant, and how it can create opportunities for entrepreneurs to scale digital health in LatAm?
  • How can entrepreneurs tackle the key local and regional health challenges in LatAm? And how can they participate in regional and international cooperation to scale their solutions and impact? What are the key requirements?
  • What capacities, knowledge and skills do entrepreneurs need to innovate and scale digital health solutions through international cooperation? And how can they also learn from the exchange of knowledge and experience through International Cooperation?

L. Gennes, Director of World Entrepreneurs,delivered the presentation “The Power of International Cooperation to Scale Digital Health in LatAm”, and participated in the discussions, concluding with a set of recommendations to promote the role of international cooperation and collaborative networks to help entrepreneurs and innovators develop and scale digital solutions that address health challenges in LatAm and globally.

The presentation was based on the DHI-LAC initiative, a collaborative partnership, for the promotion of international cooperation to advance digital health and telemedicine in Latin America and the Caribbean. (Ref. pg. 7).
